a book on dutch design in Japanese. marvelous.
Also a beautiful book by Takeo Papers. Definitely made a contribution to my thesis project 2009-2010.
This is why I love companies in Japan—a paper company putting on exhibitions and making memorabilia that contributes to the society greatly.
Got my hands on “Redesign” by Takeo Paper Publications. I just wish my Japanese skills were good enough to understand all the heavy text!
RE-DESIGN: Daily Products of the 21st Century
Daily products such as toilet paper, import/export stamps and cockroach traps are all magically transformed in the hands of an artist. Real life “designs” emerge from disparity in perception. This book is based on the “RE-DESIGN Exhibition” held to commemorate Takeo’s 100 years in the paper business. Includes English text.

When my thesis advisor Norman Klein mentioned this book towards the end of my thesis, I wished I had come across this book earlier. Well, I have time now and it’s such an interesting book even 5 pages into it.
